As you would expect, there are some limitations to what we can offer in a package that costs £595, and we want you to be as clear on what's not included in the service as you are on what is - so you have everything you need to make the right decision and there's no confusion further down the line.
 

Corporate ID and Branding

As part of the £595 service, we take whatever corporate ID and branding elements you have (logo, brand colours, illustrations, photographs etc.) and create up to three website visual design iterations for you.

We don't, within this £595 price, offer a full branding consultation and create these corporate ID elements in the first place.

In some cases, there's no need to create a comprehensive corporate ID. If you're an artist or photographer, for example, then as long as you've a fair idea of the kind of look and feel you're after (and ideally can point us to a few examples on the web), then this combined with the visual material you will naturally have available is usually enough.

But if branding/corporate ID is important, and you haven't yet got anything together, then we do offer a branding consultancy service. (We partner with one of a number of graphic designers). We charge £875, which includes a comprehensive initial consultation, up to three design iterations, and print ready artwork for letterheads, business cards and compliment slips, as well as completed visuals for your website.

Equally, you're free to go to an third party designer.

We've designed a questionnaire to help you create a strong branding brief for a designer. A copy will be emailed to you on completion, and completing the questionnaire places you under no obligation to work with us to fulfill the brief.

We advise that you complete the branding design stage before starting on the creation of your Hubspace site.
 

Number of Pages

Hubspace is designed to be super-easy for you to manage. As such, the service doesn't include the creation of your site pages, but allows you to create as many pages as you like yourself (within reason - we actually have a 250 page limit, but if you want more pages than that then Hubspace probably isn't the right solution for you).

Once you've been shown how to manage the site, you'll find it easier to enter the content yourself than it would be to instruct us to do it (which would involve writing both the content and our instructions somewhere in any case).

We do consult with you on your optimum initial navigation structure and create this for you as a starting point, and we do create up to five initial pages for you to ensure that all features, modules, templates and display elements are working correctly.

If you're uncomfortable with this, then we will create further pages for you, but we don't advise it and we charge:

• £15 per page, text only.
• £3 per image to insert images in a page.
• Please discuss with us if you have more complex requirements.

Another reason we discourage you from getting us to create your pages for you is that for a site to remain fresh to your audience and to search engines, you really ought to be updating it with fresh content on a fairly regular basis. We often find that if a customer doesn't create the pages in the first place, he or she tends not to get in to the habit of updating them either.
 

Design Structure

All Hubspace sites follow a particular design structure, which is one of the ways we keep our charges so low. If you look at the range of designs we've already implemented, however, you'll see there's a great deal of flexibility that can be achieved within this structure. And we've thought about the structure very carefully so that it follows the leading website standards and works well for the majority of requirements. None the less, as part of any initial discussions we have with you, we'll check you don't have expectations that fall outside the scope of this structure.
 

Independent Hosting

Each Hubspace site is part of a single, hosted, multi-portal system. This is another reason we're able to offer such advanced features for so little a cost. However, this means that you're not able to take the service and host it with somebody else. The word "service" in the previous sentence is in italics because you are free to take a "flat file" copy of your site and host it with whomever you wish, but it will be just that - flat file - you will lose the dynamic modules, integrations and management features that Hubspace offers.

(Please note: We are, in fact, completely open to allowing you to take a licensed copy of the full application and host it elsewhere, but you'd be entering in to a completely different league. Either you'd need to employ someone with highly specialist technical skills to set up the application, or you'd need to contract us to do it, which would involve costs on a very different scale from our standard charges. Such an option is only really worth considering for a business seeking to "white label" our service and host multiple sites themselves.)
 

Copywriting

As part of the consultation and training process we can, if you wish, offer some advice on how to write engaging copy, but our standard pro service doesn't include writing the copy for you. If you think you need help from a specialist copywriter, we can point you in the right direction.
 

Photography & Illustration

The standard pro service doesn't include specialist photography or illustrations. It does include integrating in to your initial site design any photographs or illustrations you already have. Again, if you require this service we can point you in the right direction.
 

E-Commerce

For an extra £6 per month (making £18 per month in total), the standard pro service includes, if required, integration with e-Junkie. This solution allows you to sell physical products and electronic downloads and includes a shopping cart that fully integrates in to your Hubspace site plus many other powerful features.

If you wish to sell a few products from your website that also takes advantage of Hubspace's other great features, then this service is more than adequate and comparatively hassle free. However, if you're looking for a full-featured specialist e-commerce solution then Hubspace probably isn't the best option. We would recommend something like Shopify or BigCommerce.
